[22:19:21] <crutchy> SirFinkus, i've got exec's wiki api thingy worked out, but i haven't fixedd the auto-spamctl script so probably good idea to keep the limited signup thingy

[22:21:20] <crutchy> used to be that whenever we'd get a change in here exec would check the wiki username against a regex and if it matched it would replace the page with a spam tag or speedy deletion tag or something. also had in the works to be able to block users or deleted pages. can't remember exactly, but we would only need that again if public sign up was re-enabled

[22:23:27] <crutchy> not sure. i thought mediawiki already had an option for it but i dunno where that would be set. also i dunno how bot-proof captchas are nowadays anyway, but if the option exists probably wouldn't hurt to have it enabled (at least for signups)
[22:24:30] <crutchy> trusted users can avoid them with an auto-patrolled flag i think. yeah i haven't looked into it too much
[22:27:49] <Deucalion> How hard would it be to add a rehash stub for auth that mediawiki can query instead of having separate logins for main site and wiki? (answer.... I have no idea! But SSO for the win right... it always works smoothly!)
