[18:39:14] <mattie_p> My daughter is doing a lot better, pain is down drastically, she is eating a popsicle (first food by mouth in several days)

[18:39:39] <mattie_p> My mom flew in last night to help out, so that is good, and friends are stepping up to help out with meals and everything
[18:40:07] <mattie_p> she should be taking her first post-surgery steps in a little bit
[18:40:17] <mattie_p> they want to get her on her feet as quickly as possible
[18:40:44] <mattie_p> and she is talking and making jokes now that they removed the tube to drain her stomach fluids
[18:40:57] <mattie_p> overall, everything is looking promising

[18:44:37] <mattie_p> we're all hanging in there, a friend picked up my son yesterday and took him out to occupy him
[18:45:18] <xlefay> That's good, things like these often leave quite the impression, it's good for him to get out and not think about it for a bit
[18:45:53] <xlefay> I'm glad your little girl is doing better & I hope life will soon return back to normal for your entire family :)
[18:46:02] <mattie_p> yeah, he was partially blaming himself for bike accident, and I keep reassuring him otherwise
