[19:04:55] <fab23> janrinok: the flight was to Zürich, but then made a sharp left turn and went south, but also over eastern Europe it made ugly turns.
[19:20:48] <janrinok> It is a scheduled flight from Muscat - Zurich and return. It has followed the same flight plan since March 2025. It is possible that the flight was rerouted to avoid the controlled airspace of Davos which is a temporary restriction.

[19:25:51] <janrinok> The extra leg towards the SE is caused by the loss of signal by the tracking radar - it is a fake track. (unless it landed on a mountain...)

[19:46:49] <fab23> janrinok: I did also look at yesterdays flight from Zürich -> Muscat from yesterday, somehow the signal from this plane is not always accurate
[19:47:45] <fab23> janrinok: The regular route was anyway far away from Davos, and the sudden left turn back may more be into the direction of Davos :)

[20:04:27] <janrinok> ATC will redirect aircraft for quite a few reasons, to deconflict with an ac taking off from elsewhere, to avoid passing traffic (helo? air ambulance? etc). It is not unusual. And the aircraft equipment might also have a fault which will only get rectified on the ground, if at all before it returns to Muscat.
