[00:17:59] <halibut> Ingar: Gorgeous photographs. Very pretty scene.
[00:19:05] <halibut> Also ... life hack for creatures of the night, especially since it is approaching the winter solstice in the northern hemisphere. Think of the sunrise not as early in the morning, but rather happening very late at night.
[00:19:24] <halibut> (but maybe do not do that too many times)
[00:19:38] <Ingar> it's best to go to bed before the birds start tweeting
[00:20:25] <Ingar> you know that time, when you just got to bed, and you hear the first *twit* *twit* outside
[00:22:03] <halibut> I have worked a few night shifts (thankfully, not too many). It can be difficult to sleep.
[00:22:11] <halibut> (during the day)
[00:25:37] <halibut> Hmm ... I flipped my times. Near the winter solstice, sunrises are later, not earlier. Staying up to see the sunrise is less of a long night near the summer solstice, not the winter solstice. Oops.
[00:27:16] <halibut> This is the ideal solution, if you do not mind the caveat in the title text: https://xkcd.com

[00:31:58] <Ingar> nevertheless, time to go to bed ;)
