[09:23:18] <AlwaysNever> It's funny because one of the stated reasons for Ubuntu going to dracut is "Dracut is an upstream project which is used in several distributions", whereas initramfs-tools is a debianism; meanwhile, they are replacing GNU core-utils with a Rust-based rewrite, which no other distro is doing. Both movements smell to job-security for the engineering team to me.
