[02:08:33] <progo> is Wayland fit for use yet? I tried it when KDE Plasma said it was "ready", and global scaling didn't work, and you couldn't inject input events.
[02:24:46] <chromas> Kde Wayland Smithers is working for me, but I haven't been using xdotool lately so I don't miss it, and I don't scale my desktop
[02:26:06] <chromas> The X12 idea would have been better. It would take out the older cruft while still being compatible with more modern software, and we wouldn't still be trying to catch up to decades-old features
[02:28:24] <chromas> Actually, since C++ only just recently got modules, it's in the same boat as Wayland, finally getting features everyone else had 60 years go
