[08:31:12] <Ingar> Greetings citizens
[08:46:41] <janrinok> Greetings to you too. Will you be trying to photograph the alignment of the planets today/tomorrow?
[09:08:21] <Ingar> probabely not, it's a rather difficult one
[09:09:10] <Ingar> close to the horizon, I'd need to find a suitable location, early monday morning
[09:09:36] <Ingar> not to mention the weather
[09:09:49] <janrinok> OK, the forecast here is uncertain about the cloud cover too so it might come to nothing at all.
[09:10:24] <Ingar> the forecast is 100% clouds :(
[09:10:40] <janrinok> well that answers that question then...
[09:11:02] <Ingar> preapring for the summer season though, want to do some nice nebulae
[09:12:28] <janrinok> which day do you expect to be summer? Not much sign of it here yet.
[09:31:37] <Ingar> SOON (tm)
[09:32:02] <Ingar> in about two weeks
[09:36:04] <janrinok> will it be a full day or is there a possibility that I will miss it due to it clashing with a meal time...?
[09:37:00] <Ingar> I only care about clear nights
[09:38:41] <janrinok> lol
[09:39:22] <janrinok> we are still waiting for spring to arrive properly. It is June and we still have cloudy and rainy days!
[09:39:44] <Ingar> spring is here allright
[09:39:54] <Ingar> plants are growing like there's no tomorrow
[09:40:04] <Ingar> it's a swampy jungle here
[09:40:35] <janrinok> Oh the plants are growing, but the weather is rubbish!

[10:13:55] <aristarchus> Is it typical, for a Brit to move to France, and then complain about the weather? Coals to Newcastle, and whatnot.

[10:46:38] <Ingar> forecast bounces between clear night and overcast

[14:23:42] <Runaway1956> The most interesting angle to all of that is, phone reviews are always focused on what the open source phones lack
[14:24:10] <Runaway1956> Here, we find a whole community devoted to what the open source phones lack - they see it as a selling feature.

[19:57:27] <AlwaysNever> I'm curious: what's the most used smartphone app to buy used things among people in your country?
[19:57:44] <AlwaysNever> In Spain it something called "wallapop".
[19:59:11] <AlwaysNever> I just used it, and it works well - if you don't need shipping, which you can optionally do throught a service provided by the app itself, then the app is free to use, I mean there is no fee nor comission
[20:00:15] <AlwaysNever> So I just bought 12 used books for 36 euros
[20:00:30] <AlwaysNever> from the same seller
[20:11:53] -!- holeinone [holeinone!~Hugo@Soylent/Staff/Misc/holeinone] has joined #soylent
[20:16:16] <Runaway1956> Used books? How good can they be if they're used? Haven't you just bought someone else's maintenance problems?
[20:16:24] <Runaway1956> end sarcasm
[20:17:25] <Runaway1956> More seriously, I don't know about apps for the smart phone, but Ebay and Craig's list or Facebook Marketplace are good places to look for used stuff.
[20:18:21] <Runaway1956> Shipping and/or delivery are negotiable between buyer and seller on the latter two - Ebay generally arranges shipping.
[20:19:19] <Runaway1956> Whoops, that's not quite right - Ebay stands ready to facilitate shipping, it's still up to the shipper to actually ship an item.

[23:35:18] <chromas> * 2023: Now I go into a game to find a store.
[23:40:20] <ted-ious> Isn't it better to go into a game and find a game without any store?
[23:40:32] <ted-ious> Or do you like micro transactions? :)
