[06:13:30] <chromas> So I'm downloading....Linux ISOs, and discovering TV shows—I mean distros—I've never heard of
[06:13:32] <chromas> Money Heist Korea Joint Economic Area
[09:26:57] <Ingar> ApplePieLinux.iso
[09:27:37] <Ingar> there's also gentoo.iso if that's your type of kink
[09:31:41] <fab23> or FreeBSD-13.1-RELEASE-amd64-dvd1.iso :)
[09:48:40] <janrinok> I wonder if that will find my graphics card and successfully install rocm-dkms - I suspect not
[09:57:08] <fab23> janrinok: probably not, but FreeBSD is the base of macOS
[09:57:29] <fab23> I do know people using FreeBSD on the desktop, but I prefer it for servers
[10:24:42] <Ingar> haven't used FreeBSD in ages
[10:27:46] <Ingar> also, macOS kernel is XNU, but they loaned a lot of stuff from FreeBSD
[10:37:49] <fab23> but ages ago, its called DarwinOS, with cute mascot called Hexley http://www.hexley.com :)
[10:37:50] <systemd> ^ 03Homepage of Hexley the DarwinOS mascot

[12:28:29] <chromas> janrinok: so far it seems to me that (my problem at least) isnt' getting rocm installed, but coaxing SD to actually use it. Most of the instructions I've seen make it download its own private installation of pytorch and stuff, so I've gotta get it to either download pytorch with rocm support, or use the system installation, neither of which have worked so far

[16:36:52] <janrinok> chromas, which OS are you using?
[23:29:17] <chromas> arch loonix
[23:30:34] <chromas> The AUTOMATIC1111 instructions I'm using is supposed to automatically do AMD GPU when it detects it but it still don't
