[21:20:59] <fab23> ah, sorry, the gGmbH seems to be correct, have never seen this before
[21:20:15] <fab23> in the Fediverse Roundup Posting, it probably schould be s/Mastodon gGmbH/Mastodon GmbH/
[18:50:45] <janrinok> *an Englishman
[18:50:29] <janrinok> Runaway - I would have been more concerned if you had confessed to once kissing and Englishman, but I try not to judge people.
[18:47:06] <Bender> [SoylentNews] - Fediverse Roundup - https://sylnt.us - c-f-honk
[18:17:17] <Runaway1956> That makes sense to me, I don't like snaps either
[18:15:21] <janrinok> Firefox is now installed as a snap package and it has caused me several problems. I eventually uninstalled the snap package, then uninstalled snap itself, and finally downloaded a normal version of Firefox and installed that. Problems solved!
[18:09:42] <Runaway1956> I know nothing about the rebooting, but I can tell you that I have problems with Firefox from time to time
[18:08:44] <Runaway1956> You should only apply the updates once, I think.
[18:08:28] <Runaway1956> Bytram> this is the 3rd time my system has rebooted *today*. :/ I applied applied update
[18:01:53] <Runaway1956> She had a hairy upper lip, unlike you.
[18:01:35] <FatPhil> it wan't me
[18:01:26] <Runaway1956> I was willing to experiment when I was young. I once kissed an English woman!
[18:01:26] <FatPhil> yeah, but there are literally 20 gin bars in town, and 20 wine bars
[18:00:45] <Runaway1956> People who are afraid of new experiences?
[17:59:58] <FatPhil> what the fuck goes through retard brains such that they come into the best beer bar in town, with well over 500 beers, and they ask for a gin & tonic, and a rose wine with blah blah blah, blah blah blah, blah blah blah
[17:51:53] <Runaway1956> 817-515-8223
[17:51:53] <Runaway1956> Fort Worth, TX 76102
[17:51:53] <Runaway1956> 300 Trinity Campus Circle
[17:51:53] <Runaway1956> Contact
[17:51:25] <Runaway1956> Trinity obviously refers to Texas, where they have the Trinity River and the Tarrant County College.
[17:50:31] <systemd> ^ 03Trinity River Campus

[17:33:28] <Bytram> urr, and now I gotta go out for a bit... will check back later. TIA!
[17:31:00] <Bytram> this is the 3rd time my system has rebooted *today*. :/ I applied applied updates (now at 22.04.1 LTS; running Mate). "Firefox is already running, but is not responding. To use Firefox, you must firs close the existing Firefox process, restart your device, or use a different profile." System monitor shows 4 procs varying from 30% to 100% active!?!!

[15:11:32] <janrinok> yep

[15:06:17] <janrinok> it's in the link
[15:05:48] <janrinok> Dublin
[15:05:04] <FatPhil> Trinity Cambridge, Trinity Oxford, or Trinity Dublin?

[14:57:56] -!- AzumaHazuki has quit [Remote host closed the connection]
[14:57:52] <AzumaHazuki> okay...time for work
[14:57:44] <AzumaHazuki> fair, fair =p
[14:57:38] <FatPhil> And don't pick on goldfish, goldfish are dumb, but cute
[14:57:28] <janrinok> lol
[14:57:24] <AzumaHazuki> i think the new circle of Hell he's going to still hasn't been fully excavated yet
[14:57:04] <janrinok> now, don't hold back, what do you really think of him :)
[14:56:53] <AzumaHazuki> he never really wanted to buy this thing, but now he's stuck with it, and he's too fuckin' dumb to run it and too high on his own jenkem to listen to people who do
[14:56:29] <AzumaHazuki> i don't think he is intentionally trying to kill it. i think he's an incompetent narcissistic asshole with an attention span approximately half that of a concussed goldfish
[14:55:43] <janrinok> AzumaHazuki, Musk is doing some very stupid moves recently. Do you think he is intentionally trying to kill the company and, if so, to what end? Perhaps if he is shut down by some authority he will use that as an excuse rather than admit that he has just made a colossal mistake?
[14:51:40] <FatPhil> The sewer is a literal sewer, but it ain't better when it's bombed
[14:51:18] <FatPhil> Then the users will leak out into the outside world :/
[14:50:21] <AzumaHazuki> Musk may actually speedrun destroying the company and i can only cheer him on
[14:50:01] <AzumaHazuki> speaking of, twitter's apparently in hot water with the FTC given it hasn't legally certified all these new features, LOL
[14:48:32] <FatPhil> Wow - 130+ companies were involved in the Scam Bankman-Fraud empire (and subsequent bankruptcy). Oh, what a tangled web we weave...

[12:56:18] <FatPhil> What does mister Bankman-Fraud say?
[12:55:37] <systemd> ^ 03Bloomberg - Are you a robot? ( https://www.bloomberg.com )
[12:55:36] <FatPhil> https://www.bloomberg.com
[12:55:16] <fab23> probably, but that may be fine for a startup which got play money, but not a organisations running since a few years
[12:54:49] <FatPhil> "Wall Street banks that lent Musk $13 billion to fund Musk's buyout have been quietly approaching hedge funds to see if they would be interested in chunks of buyout debt at deeply discounted prices as low as 60 cents on the dollar
[12:53:57] <FatPhil> "move fast and break things", is that what all the cool university dropouts are saying?
[12:53:00] <systemd> ^ 03Elon Musk learns the hard way that being a Twitter troll is way more fun than being a mod
[12:52:59] <fab23> nice long timeline (its only 2 weeks): https://www.theverge.com
[12:49:39] <systemd> ^ 03Elon Musk is putting Twitter at risk of billions in fines, warns company lawyer
[12:49:37] <fab23> that is probably the source of the German article I read on heise.de https://www.theverge.com
[12:44:30] <inz> Probably the TLB's sacked in the first wave were very unhappy while laughing their way to the bank.
[12:43:38] <fab23> what happen to the Hyperloop in Las Vegas? :)
[12:43:03] <inz> A true motivational leader.
[12:42:33] <fab23> he also orders all employees to work at least 40hours/week in the office, but they seem to have contracts which allows them to work remote, and so some moved out into the country
[12:42:20] <inz> Just like why I prefer Turku to exist; otherwise the turkuans would dwell among people.
[12:41:30] <inz> It would be a real shame. I'd prefer the twats stayed on twit.
[12:35:51] <FatPhil> "Twitter boss Elon Musk told employees at a recent all-hands meeting that the company is losing so much money that "bankruptcy is not out of the question,""
[12:27:45] <inz> damn
[12:23:56] <FatPhil> you're probably damned if you tell people that you're damned if you do and damned if you don't.
[12:22:51] <inz> FatPhil, damned if you do, damned if you don't; probably damned if you try to do neither too
[12:22:00] <inz> Ah, yeah, misss://issippi
[12:17:41] <fab23> regarding the additional S, this is always for Security, this started a few years ago when all the IoT stuff was more present
[12:17:12] <FatPhil> https://twitter.com
[12:16:41] <fab23> because this ugly long URLs are not nice, had to manually add it together, as it does not work if you only take it up until .jpg
[12:15:31] <fab23> somewhere else (heise.de) regarding some more ugly things going on at T., one comment mention that Elmo also schould buy FB :)

[08:57:02] <chromas> Been awhile since I've seen one, but probably a couple cm larger on each axis I think
[08:54:32] <FatPhil> The images make them look about 3cm diameter and 12cm long
[08:53:33] <FatPhil> Very important question - how big's a corn dog?
