[13:37:52] <requerdanos> Things are not too bad. Initially I was following the advice, just breathe, and living breath to breath
[13:38:09] <requerdanos> then after a while I followed the advice, just do the next thing, so I lived from task to task
[13:38:31] <requerdanos> now I am following the good advice, each day's goal is to get through a day. So I am doing whole days now. 100% success rate so far.

[13:39:22] <janrinok> I will not mind if you increase you success rate but don't, whatever you do, reduce it :)
[13:39:40] <requerdanos> Yeah that's the idea. How are things with you? settling down?
[13:40:02] <janrinok> I think so. Sort of.
[13:40:45] <requerdanos> Well, that's not an altogether bad report, so I'm glad.
[13:41:35] <FatPhil> top tip - don't try fitting much more than a day into a day
[13:41:36] <janrinok> There are always things to do on the site so, as you know, there is never 'nothing' to do
[13:42:09] <requerdanos> I love it when I have unfinished tasks at the end of the day, makes creation of the next day's todo list easier. Already got things to put on it.
[13:42:58] <janrinok> Just completed a whole bunch of work on the house externally. Now I will start on the internals - but slowly over the winter and spring
[13:43:40] <requerdanos> I need floor repairs and/or a new floor in my living room/den, but other than that I have no plans to work on my house. for whatever that's worth.
[13:44:08] <janrinok> Some (most) using contractors but enough to keep me busy as well. But I cannot do as many of the jobs as I could, say, 5 years ago and it is frustrating but simply an essential part of the aging process.
[13:44:31] <requerdanos> aging beats the alternative, or so I hear
[13:44:41] <janrinok> I'm rather hoping so ...
[13:45:16] <requerdanos> I'd love to be 100 years old, but when I get closer I may revise that number up some. I love life, even if it's not always good to me.

[13:46:43] <janrinok> I would simply enjoy the here and now - I have discovered that getting older is not all good news and each day limits what you can do a little bit more. Almost imperceptibly but most certainly true.
[13:47:41] <requerdanos> I am kind of going through a rough patch making it harder to enjoy the here and now, but I am enjoying it as much as I can. Good advice.
[13:48:10] <janrinok> But I plan to continue getting older - and I understand how you feel. It _does_ get better.
[13:49:05] <requerdanos> I am proceeding on that theory, the situation will never go away but I will grow into my ability to deal with it and be happy

[13:55:27] <janrinok> they're always in short supply. I didn't buy them when I knwe where they were, and now I wouldn't know where to look if I wanted them.

[13:57:45] <requerdanos> mostly i do volunteer work and go to church, neither great places to ask such things
