[00:06:11] <Bytram> AzumaHazuki: In my estimation, those comments ARE similar, but not to the extent that I would call them spam. Think copy/pasting the same comment over and over (with maybe subtle tweaks to get past filters). FWIW, from what I can tell, both of those comments come from the same IPID which has already been hit with two spam moderations: "Anonymous Posting Disabled"
[00:08:05] <AzumaHazuki> those are similar enough in information (hah..."information") that they should be spam modded, IMO
[00:08:18] <Bytram> so any further spam mods would be largely ineffective at this point... just down-mod (so as to reduce the *comment's* karma and move on.
[00:09:28] <AzumaHazuki> meh, if it's already been spam-modded not worth using more points on
[00:09:52] <Bytram> nod nod
[00:11:43] <AzumaHazuki> i seem to be developing either a small fan club or have one or two really gross obsessive users
[00:12:06] <Bytram> well, it was other comments from that IPID have received spam mods. I just modded both those comments as "-1 Troll" so, unless someone up-mods them, for someone else to later down-mod differently, that's where they'll stay.

[01:28:07] <RandomFactor> ok, the semicolon is a fair edit.
[01:58:23] <Bytram> RandomFactor: I always hesitate to change anything written by someone in the community. IIRC, I sensed an awkward phrasing issue, and that was the least change that I could construct which mitigated it.

[02:18:23] <Teckla> Bytram: Isn't it officially "Arm" now? (See Wikipedia article)
[02:22:43] <Bytram> Teckla: I, ummm, sit corrected. B-b-b-but, why? Fix it until it breaks?
[02:23:29] <Bytram> What good is all this historical stuff I learned if they keep changing things for... the sake of change?
[02:25:15] <Teckla> It looks like their web site now uses "Arm" everywhere as well.
[02:25:37] <Bytram> I appreciate the correction...
[02:25:52] <Teckla> Bytram: Good questions. I liked ARM better. Not sure why... I just do.
[02:26:47] <Bytram> just a bit ticked at why they changed the name? At least it's not like other cases where I see some publications referring to, say, "Nasa" instead of "NASA" as it should be.
[02:27:59] <Teckla> I involuntarily flinch when people say JAVA instead of Java, heh ;)

[11:37:38] <carny> the main exceptions are doctors and nurses working 80 hour weeks with no time off and a viral load that would kill an elephant
[11:38:00] <TheMightyBuzzard> elephants get coronaids?
[11:38:19] <carny> probably if you sneeze on them enough
[11:39:34] <TheMightyBuzzard> with a nose that big you'd think they had way more than enough boogage to filter it out.
[11:43:06] <carny> maybe the virus gets weakened by being trapped in it and then ingested when they drink
[11:43:56] <carny> we should all start drinking thru our noses like elephants to build up immunity to everything we can
