[03:21:31] <TheMightyBuzzard> Sulla, however they're told to, of course. even liberated, progressive, feminists want alpha males or their poor little beta incel bitches wouldn't be cel.

[03:40:01] <Bytram> I dunno...
[03:41:07] <Bytram> Sulla: AFAIU, incel == involuntary celibacy... no idea about forever alone, but could that be a personal choice, instead?

[04:25:02] <Sulla> I just assumed a lot of the incel stuff came from 4chans robot9000 or pol, but what the left is claiming oesnt seem to fit what I am aware of
[04:26:19] <Sulla> Always seemed to me to be less of a "women need to change for us" and more of a "disregarding the nest of snakes that is dealing with millenial women"
[04:29:14] <Sulla> Only reason im not an incel is because I accidentlyd a wife because I was too beta to tell a girl she couldn come to our dnd sessions

[04:52:27] <mechanicjay> Sulla: No, I work in higher-ed, and have taught a course or two if that helps.
[04:55:37] <Sulla> I was recently signing up for whatever crap courses I could to get an extra 20 creds to get my cpa
[04:55:56] <Sulla> Was looking at excel courses and saw that there were none that would actually help people
[04:56:27] <Sulla> So I wrote up a syllibus broken up by week taking account for tests based on the academic calendar
[04:56:41] <Sulla> Did a grading schematic like the courses I tookl in college
[04:56:52] <Sulla> Considering pitching it but I dont know how it all works
[05:06:49] <mechanicjay> Ah -- okay -- If you have no stomach for infuriating bureaucracy, turn back now. If you have no contacts or friends in the departments, get some. Find out who the chair is and talk to them about your idea and curriculum. Best case is they think it's a great idea and get some wheels turning. Worst case is he designed the current excel course and things it's the best course in the world and you've just insulted him.
[05:07:51] <mechanicjay> Edu is still a place where face-to-face conversations make things happen.
[06:21:21] <Sulla> Thats convenient. In the past the same community college has asked some of my coworkers to do one-off courses. Going to see if they can recall the name of the requestor.
[06:21:44] <Sulla> Current course would be useful for a first time excel user but lacks anything that makes it applicable for business uses

[17:53:12] <chromas> OMG the hatespeech! I bet blockchain could cure that too
[17:53:38] * chromas invents blockchain-hatespeechctl and sells it to Germany
[17:59:48] <Sulla> So basically a blockchain that grows forever and contains names of people guilty of hate speech
[17:59:57] <Sulla> You can fork it when new terms become hate speech

[18:09:20] <AndyTheAbsurd> I'm pretty sure blockchain can't do any of those things.
