[08:20:09] <janrinok> I do not agree with them, but I am only 1 vote in this community. If they want the new bylaws exactly the way that they are then their votes will surely outweigh my own. However, as I do NOT agree with them as they stand I have no wish to be involved with their implementation.
[08:21:22] <janrinok> I don't care whose fault it is - but the committee had not functioned since mid November. Nobody was doing anything to address that problem. Somebody has to drive the process forward. It seemed to me and others that it had all simply stalled.
[08:22:35] <janrinok> The person who arrived on IRC last May telling the staff that he was going to save the site wasn't taking any action. Nobody on the committee was taking any action. It was simply a case of running the clock down until we lost everything.
[08:24:22] <janrinok> I want this site to continue. I will still fight for this site to continue. But I am only a community member. If you or anyone else does not want my contribution I can leave just as any other community member can.
[08:27:18] <janrinok> Somebody has to take a lead - and nobody seemed interested in doing that. I am trying for one last time to get someone to support some action and make sure that we save the domain and the database before it is too late. I do NOT want to be that lead but if nobody else will assume it then I have no other options if I wish to see this site continue.
[08:28:39] <janrinok> We are still down 1 more place on a minimum Board. Unless we can fill that place all of this talk will not get us any further forward.
[08:31:18] <janrinok> We have now, as a result of the last few months, lost critical members of staff. They have got fed up and walked away. Nobody on the GC was asking why that should be the case, and asking the difficult questions. That will only make the future even more difficult.
[08:34:00] <janrinok> I resigned from the GC, but I have not resigned from the Editorial Team, nor the Staff, or the Community. We don't need a weekly meeting to talk to each other. We have managed successfully to communicate using IRC and email for 10 years.
[08:37:00] <janrinok> Introducing more bullshit isn't going to advance our progress and as we have all seen, and despite the sterling efforts of many of the GC itself, the progress had stalled. We only have a few weeks before the domains are lost.
[08:39:26] <janrinok> Let's find out who is left, who is prepared to take on certain roles and responsibilities, and what we can do to further the site's future.

[22:38:58] <not_kolie1> All domains will be renewed so no issues there, and will transfer the accounts in full to the receiving entity, which was the plan all along.
