[09:00:44] <janrinok> Governance, IMO, can continue to be carried out by a Governance Committee of elected community members (and the 3 Board Members). This is does not require the personal details of the Governance Committee members' to be recorded anywhere.

[09:01:18] <janrinok> Decisions made by the Governance Committee are binding upon the Board. No ifs or buts.
[09:03:51] <janrinok> I am not sure that you will find as many volunteers as the current bylaws state if they have to reveal personal information. I am, in fact, one of them who does not wish to have my details recorded. But I am prepared to be pleasantly surprised if I am wrong.
[09:05:39] <janrinok> The priority now, while dragging the bylaws out for yet another week - FFS create the corporation and get hold of the assets as a PRIORITY - is to make sure that you have the policy documents prepared. You cannot create posts or write terms of reference until you have a policy that people accept.
[09:07:02] <janrinok> The current policy documents cannot simply be transferred across to the new site because you will not have given the community their say - which is against the new bylaws.
[09:08:00] <janrinok> I am not going to offer myself for any post other than editor unless and until I have seen the new policies. If we are going to undo what has already been achieved then I am not interested.
[09:08:57] <janrinok> Everybody is fed up with this committee. Stop talking and DO SOMETHING.
[09:09:41] <janrinok> You have already published the bylaws. They don't need discussing again. Create the Corporation and get on with it.
