[01:49:08] <aristarchus> And, chromas! I think you should be deleted, as well. When ever there is alt-right bias on this site, you seem to be behind it! Ted CruZ gave the C-virus to Trump! Scientology!
[01:51:06] <aristarchus> Messages received, bytram. But no need. I am well aware of the use of holds to get embarrassing exposes of the alt-right out of the queue. Happened several times to my subs.
[01:52:32] <chromas> It's true; I'm practically Hitler. But I'm too soyboi to grow the stache :'(
[01:53:53] <aristarchus> The 'stache is not the fash! You can still be a Neo-natal Nazi!

[01:56:15] <Bytram> aristarchus: Moving stories to the hold queue is, umm, rare. I not going to say it doesn't happen, but AFAIK, it is a rarely-used feature. FWIW, the Admin UI is functional, at best, so it takes a specific action to discern when subs have been placed anywhere except for the main queue.
[01:56:35] <aristarchus> Happy to be of service. Now, if you could present your face . . .
[01:56:45] <Bytram> after yo
[01:58:43] <aristarchus> Just that once again I noticed that my subs were showing up in my submit list, but gone from the queue. Happened before, deep-sixed, I call it. Only happened with aristarchus subs in the past, if I recall correcttly. Too toxic for the Buzzard, they were.
[02:00:08] <Bytram> Like I said, it's rarely-used feature of the UI, and there are no indications that there is anything in the other "areas" except for what one sees in the default view.
[02:00:10] <chromas> Sounds a little Trumpian. Are you rDT by any chance?
[02:00:41] <Bytram> chromas: which "you" are you talking to?

[02:00:55] <chromas> aristarchus
[02:02:40] <Fnord666> aristarchus, why do you even come here? I'm curious.
[02:03:39] <aristarchus> I have an investment in this site, having been here from near the beginning. When things like this happen, I want them corrected
[02:04:15] <Bytram> aristarchus: I trust my actions have corrected this matter.
[02:04:55] <aristarchus> But right now, perhaps more important to deal with the corona panic gripping Soylentils around their nethers?
[02:05:16] <Bytram> I may or may not care for your political-leaning stories, but I strive for even-handed and fair dealings with *all* Soylentils.
[02:05:28] <chromas> It would've been funny to see some aristarchus subs rolled up into the weekly coronaids story
[02:06:19] <Bytram> aristarchus: Ungrip my nethers! (Sounds like something that Monty Python would quip... Hmm, I wonder if they might have?)

[08:39:06] <janrinok> Bytram, the Clone option in Git is to copy the git structured repository for Rehash into your own git repo - if you haven't got one you do not need it. Use the zip to download the source and install it wherever you wish.
[08:40:58] <janrinok> However, if you want to improve things for yourself in the long term, then I would recommend playing with git from the commandline and using one of the many online tutorials or even a book! First you will learn a lot more about how git works and how powerful it is than you would if using a GUI,
[08:42:37] <janrinok> ... and it makes things much easier to submit changes that you might want to implement in future builds. It significantly makes tracking bugs, regressions and a whole host of other things far easier.
[08:44:01] <janrinok> You do not have to go all-git overnight. Try using it for one or two of your smaller scripts. At first it seems like a huge burden and your progress is reduced until after a day or two you no longer notice most of the routine commands.
[08:46:09] <janrinok> Depends on how much time you have available - as you appear to currently need a 28 hour day perhaps it is not something you need to try today!
[08:51:37] <janrinok> ~tell aristarchus several of our editors have never used the 'Hold' queue before and, like much of the editing software, it isn't as intuitive as perhaps it could be. I issued a quick tutorial today and I suspect that somebody was trying it out and moved your files by mistake.
[11:44:35] <Bytram> janrinok: am on the phone atm, but I have wanted to set up my own git repo, but have heard there issues with filename capitalization, so have held off until I have a solid linux install to work from. tx for the suggestion/info
