[19:48:59] <cmn32480> and it was early LAST year...
[19:48:52] * exec irrefutably pilfers a case of naked women & beer from janrinok
[19:48:51] <cmn32480> ~gnight janrinok
[19:43:45] <janrinok> gtg - back on tomorrow I suppose. Have a good one cmn32480 , best wishes to J, kids, dogs, and pet gerbil...
[19:39:13] <janrinok> he'll catch the rest of us up eventually
[19:38:51] <janrinok> "when I was in France earlier in the year" said cmn32480 - and it is only the 22 Jan!
[19:31:01] <cmn32480> yes... lots!
[19:30:37] <janrinok> lighter
[19:30:33] <janrinok> but your wallet would be lightet
[19:30:19] <janrinok> lol - but true
[19:30:06] <cmn32480> I'd lose half (my bank account) on that diet!
[19:29:19] <janrinok> I won't tell her you said that, otherwise you will be on a diet - a singleman's diet
[19:28:52] <cmn32480> yes, sorta, and yes
[19:28:41] <janrinok> stuck at a desk, J is probably a very good cook, and you enjoy a beer from time to time?
[19:28:04] <cmn32480> glad you have an excuse... I don't.
[19:27:37] <janrinok> that's what comes of enjoying French cakes
[19:26:54] <cmn32480> 5'7"...
[19:26:52] <janrinok> lol
[19:26:47] * cmn32480 cries a little more
[19:26:34] <janrinok> yes but I am only 168cm (5'8" approx)
[19:26:30] * cmn32480 cries just a little
[19:26:15] <cmn32480> roughly 240lbs
[19:25:55] <cmn32480> I'm about 107kg
[19:25:48] <cmn32480> things I dream of being...
[19:25:37] <janrinok> 164lbs
[19:25:19] <cmn32480> previous statement withdrawn
[19:25:16] <janrinok> 74Kg at present
[19:24:57] <janrinok> I am fat(ter)
[19:24:56] <cmn32480> and amazed you are not fat from eating there
[19:24:45] <cmn32480> I am jealous
[19:23:42] <janrinok> I have the benefit of a similar patisserie in my own village
[19:23:41] <cmn32480> people wer incredibly nice, even wiht the language barrier
[19:23:25] <cmn32480> a wonderful little town
[19:23:18] <cmn32480> yes
[19:23:10] <janrinok> Port au Bessin
[19:20:53] <cmn32480> makes my mouth water just thinking about it
[19:20:10] <cmn32480> and I'm pretty sure I mispelled the town name
[19:19:48] <cmn32480> we cleaned that woman out of Almond crescents every day we were there
[19:19:28] <cmn32480> there was this little bakery on the canal in Port au Bessain... OH MY GOD...
[19:18:41] <cmn32480> and the pastries in Normandy were better tean any I had in Paris
[19:18:26] <cmn32480> true
[19:17:34] <janrinok> The locals in Normandy and Brittany also remember who came to their aid in 1944 - they don't forget things like that very easily
[19:13:21] <janrinok> There is a 'commune' of Brit residents not too far from here who live in a little Britain - they are not very popular. When asked by a local if I had wanted to live there I pointed out that there is no point in leaving Britain if you want to live in Britain. I moved here for a different lifestyle.
[19:11:44] <janrinok> Exactly what the French people themselves will say too. Parisians are not much liked in Brittany either, mainly because of their arrogance. But we have been welcome by everyone we meet. Provide you join in the culture that exists and not try to change it into whatever you came from they are perfectly happy to share their lives with you.
[19:08:25] <cmn32480> the folks out toward Normandy were absolutely wonderful to deal with.
[19:08:02] <cmn32480> and when I was in France earlier in the year, the only place that was even a little snooty was Paris
[19:03:01] <janrinok> I know that feeling too
[18:58:39] <cmn32480> I've never had an issue with the English speaking Canadians... and honestly most of the French Canadians... but some of them YEESH. Makes you wanna reach out and punch someone.
[18:57:35] * janrinok fibbed about the French, they can be a touche arrogant
[18:57:03] <janrinok> yes
[18:56:43] <cmn32480> the Candians or the French?
[18:56:26] <janrinok> Probably to you 'muricans, but to everyone else they are OK.
[18:55:42] <cmn32480> I thought the Canadiens were like the French? Rude to a fault
[18:50:38] <janrinok> Nah, that's the Canadians. We are only polite some times.
[18:40:37] <cmn32480> damn Brits.. always polite
[18:39:34] <janrinok> that is what I meant, but I was being polite
[18:39:14] <cmn32480> I'm all for ignoring it as far as the site goes
[18:39:03] <janrinok> I'm leaving that sort of thing for somebody's journal discussions
[18:38:30] <cmn32480> from the word go
[18:38:26] <janrinok> ... and people wonder why I wish we had never started reporting politics
[18:38:04] <cmn32480> it has all benen garbage
[18:37:38] <janrinok> I'm gobsmacked that they are arguing about whether to accept evidence or witnesses - what kind of investigation is it?!
[18:28:38] <cmn32480> I am sure you are to blame for the impeachemnt trial as well
[18:28:22] <cmn32480> you are a special guy after all

[18:19:08] <janrinok> all of the world!? I'm getting more influential as each day goes by
[18:18:31] <cmn32480> the world is taking a downturn...
[18:18:25] <cmn32480> see... there we go
[18:18:06] <janrinok> I'm here :)
[18:17:58] <janrinok> yep!
[18:17:48] <cmn32480> somethig will turn up, it always does.
[18:17:39] * cmn32480 shrugs
[18:17:27] <cmn32480> and for that I am exceptionalyl thankful!
[18:17:23] <janrinok> what is todays problem then?
[18:17:16] <cmn32480> and I don't have any calls scheduled for today either
[18:17:07] <cmn32480> yep
[18:16:54] <janrinok> see - things can get better (relatively)
[18:16:14] <cmn32480> it did (finally) finish
[18:15:56] <janrinok> has yesterdays group phone call finished or haven't they realised it went dark and got light again?
[18:15:44] <cmn32480> I don't remember what I ate for breakfast, much less what happened that many moons ago.
[18:15:24] <cmn32480> anythgin is possible
[18:15:01] <janrinok> I know - I suggested it
[18:14:52] <cmn32480> beyond any ZNC logging
[18:14:40] <cmn32480> Probably by design, as it was created by either Bytram or myself, and it allowed us all to make as many mistakes as we wanted, without fear of them being immortalized forever
[18:14:30] <janrinok> OK - that would explain it, I suppose
[18:13:51] <cmn32480> no bots were ever in edtrain, I believe
[18:13:31] <janrinok> cmn32480, there are no bots working on #edtrain - do you have to restart the bot server or is it caused by something entirely different?
[17:26:57] * cmn32480 bangs his head on the desk in the hope that it will end the misery
[17:26:33] <cmn32480> I wasn't minding in the first place

[15:50:35] <spiraldancing> Oh wait ... it's sorting backwards.
[15:50:26] <spiraldancing> ...
[15:49:17] <spiraldancing> Let the Linux rain/reign begin ...
[15:47:50] <spiraldancing> ...
[15:47:47] <spiraldancing> Since 2014, we've posted only one article in the OS category? And it doesn't even show up in there?
[15:46:59] <spiraldancing> HEY!
[15:45:28] <spiraldancing> ...
[15:45:21] <spiraldancing> ...

[04:29:17] <chromas> I tweaked it the other day and it was pooping out the wrong codes or something and now it's working again
[04:28:44] <carny> weeks ago?
[04:28:21] * chromas blames martyb
[04:28:09] <chromas> That's weird. When did the bot's colors start working again?
