[14:25:45] <janrinok> chromas I have discovered that if I run your soy_parse html on my machine it transfers data correctly to the SN story window, if I try to run it via your site then it fails. Of course, I haven't 'borrowed' your css files yet so the display is not quite the same, but it does function.

[18:42:13] <janrinok> ~gday Bytram
[18:42:15] * exec smurfily cropdusts a mouthful of ellipses over Bytram
[18:42:44] * janrinok thinks that is probably a lot of ellipses
[18:49:32] * Bytram thinks his mouth is not THAT big.
[18:49:38] <Bytram> ~gday janrinok
[18:49:39] * exec presumably hurls kernel of jiggling juggs at janrinok
[18:49:53] <janrinok> your day off I believe
[18:50:11] <Bytram> nod nod
[18:50:51] <janrinok> doing the usual washing, ironing, cooking while trying to rest and keep the site going?
[18:52:08] <Bytram> which started with a call from a bill collector who claimed I owed money on an acct in which I had previously had a large credit, they claim they mailed it to me as a checque, which they will now re-issue for me to receive in a couple weeks, but I still need to pay up recent charges... *NOW*
[18:52:36] <Bytram> can you say cashflow?
[18:52:41] <janrinok> sounds a bit iffy to me
[18:53:28] <Bytram> It's not really a problem for me, but the hassle of having to make a payment that would otherwise be unnecessary, and watching for a check to arrive, and then having to make time to deposit it, and wait for it to clear.
[18:53:37] <janrinok> how can you owe money if they are sending cheques to you...?
[18:54:02] <Bytram> because I made charges to my acct after the date they claimed they mailed me a check
[18:54:21] <janrinok> OK, as long as it makes sense to you...
[18:55:32] <Bytram> I understand *what* is claimed to have been done, but I absolutely fail to see how in any way it could be considered good customer service for them to unilaterally decide that I should not have a credit balance in my charge account.
[18:55:46] <janrinok> "apart from that, Mrs Lincoln, how did you enjoy the show"
[18:55:57] <Bytram> rim "shot"
[18:56:10] <janrinok> If only it had been his rim...
[18:56:46] <Bytram> uggh, no quick rejoinder on that one... sorry
[18:56:58] <janrinok> hows the pinky?
[18:57:06] <Bytram> still attached
[18:57:14] <janrinok> that's a good sign
[18:57:33] <Bytram> in retrospect, there are some minor issues with pointer and middle fingers, too...
[18:57:44] <Bytram> is somewhat difficult to button a dress shirt
[18:57:53] <janrinok> I'm not a doctor, but take it from me still having your digits attached is better than not...
[18:58:21] <Bytram> *ROFL*
[18:58:36] <Bytram> hopefully in the correct location, as well.
[18:58:45] <janrinok> and you have to wear a shirt for work. Isn't there a pretty young thing that you could persuade to help you fasten buttons when you get to work?
[18:58:51] * Bytram pictures a picasso with a finger attached to an ear
[18:59:01] <Bytram> I think S is spoken for, no?
[18:59:13] <janrinok> close enough for Pablo, it should be close enough for you!
[18:59:27] <Bytram> :: laughter ::
[18:59:38] <janrinok> I specifically said 'pretty young thing'
[18:59:40] <Bytram> ummm, stick it in my ear?
[18:59:46] <Bytram> #smake janrinok
[18:59:46] * MrPlow smakes janrinok upside the head with meatspin
[19:00:15] <janrinok> just because my wife isn't a 'thing' is no excuse for violence, young man!
[19:00:39] <Bytram> "pretty young" is a relative term compared to "pretty old"... one being younger than the other, and "pretty" being a mostly useless modifier
[19:00:42] <janrinok> I can say that to just about anybody nowadays
[19:00:49] <Bytram> touche'
[19:00:57] <Bytram> sadly, same here!
[19:01:07] <janrinok> so my wife is uselessly pretty?
[19:01:28] <Bytram> that is up to you?
[19:01:45] * janrinok disagrees but promises not to pass that on to S - "Bytram just said ....."
[19:02:08] <Bytram> speaking of which, a sloppy kiss, tickle, and hug would be in order right bout now.
[19:02:45] <janrinok> she returns her own to you. Nothing for me, of course, I am only a typist in this matter
[19:02:53] <Bytram> I am amazed at the huge number of well wishes to my story about my stroke.
[19:03:01] <janrinok> you shouldn't be
[19:03:04] <Bytram> that's fine.
[19:03:17] * Bytram is always the last to know
[19:05:27] <Bytram> back in a few minutes
[19:05:28] <Bytram> afk
[19:05:34] <janrinok> k
[19:25:25] <Bytram> What a pleasant surprise!
[19:26:05] * Bytram just received a phone call from his primary care physician saying they saw the reports come in about my stroke and seeing as to how I was doing.
[19:26:09] <janrinok> what - has the cheque arrived?
[19:26:23] <Bytram> it's in the mail
[19:26:31] <Bytram> s/mail/post/
[19:26:32] <exec> <Bytram> it's in the post
[19:26:40] <janrinok> lol - but that was a nice call to receive
[19:26:42] <Bytram> post haste, no doubt?
[19:26:47] <Bytram> indeed!
[19:27:03] <janrinok> look out for another line on his bill...
[19:27:28] <Bytram> In this day and age with so much impersonalization and automation, the human touch really means a lot!
[19:27:45] <janrinok> yep - you deserve it though
[19:28:03] <Bytram> will be aware, but seriously doubts that will be the case.
[19:28:37] <janrinok> not sure how they automated such things - please tick if you are very well, so-so, dead. If not dead, continue with question 2....
[19:32:14] <Bytram> have I reached the party with whom I am speaking?

[20:20:57] <chromas> janrinok: that's weird. I tried it from my phone outside my lan (so different ip) and it worked okay.
[20:21:04] <chromas> maybe I had the same subnet or something
