[02:49:06] <Bytram> That's gonna have to do it for me. Have a great night everybody!
[03:12:37] * chromas wonders where storybot got the feed for healthdata.org
[03:12:50] <chromas> When I go to /rss.xml it just gives me a feed with a couple forms

[03:17:44] <fnord666_> Hello
[03:17:58] <chromas> g'day
[03:18:09] <fnord666_> Bytram: you there?
[03:18:30] <fnord666_> Evening chromas
[03:18:55] <chromas> Supposedly, he went to bed. I wouldn't be surprised if he stopped by again though
[03:20:16] <fnord666_> How’s the story queue? My internet is totally down.
[03:21:16] <chromas> it's good for eight or so hours
[03:22:14] <fnord666_> Ok
[03:22:45] <fnord666_> Must be a fiber cut somewhere
[03:22:48] <chromas> Is it just your internet or is it a neighborhood issue?
[03:22:49] <chromas> ah
[03:23:27] * chromas feeds fnord666_'s connection some metamucil
[03:24:22] <fnord666_> Lol
[03:26:15] <fnord666_> Don’t know about neighborhood but TV is on separate fiber channel and it’s out too
[03:27:53] <fnord666_> Unless someone has a backhoe in the yard I’m guessing it’s upstream
[03:28:18] <chromas> That's why I carry a strand of fiber when I go hiking.
[03:28:36] <chromas> If I get lost I can just bury the fiber and someone will come along with a hoe to dig it up
[03:28:53] <fnord666_> Roflmao
[03:29:20] <fnord666_> I bet that would work

[06:21:02] <janrinok> Bytram, chromas thanks for the bug report. I'll investigate. The processing is very easy - if the url contains the string 'tag' then the entire <a...> and </a> tags are removed, leaving the text between them untouched. As the fault is only present - as far as I can find - on this one sentence it must be something rather more subtle.

[17:36:39] <janrinok> hi carny
[17:43:33] <janrinok> chromas The only feed I'm using on storybot is from the SN feed. Of course, anyone can submit a submission on IRC via storybot so it could have originated from there, but it is not something that I have actively done.
[18:43:30] <chromas> Aw. I was hoping you guys had found the secret hideout of their feed
[18:46:19] <chromas> I s'pose there's no reason I couldn't build a scraper that generates an rss feed though
