[01:23:04] <Bytram> cmn32480: !!
[01:23:14] <cmn32480> bytram !!
[01:23:18] <Bytram> oops, off by 12 hours I guess
[01:23:21] <Bytram> oh, hi!
[01:23:34] <cmn32480> i got pinged on the intercom
[01:23:35] <Bytram> how was your day?
[01:23:40] <cmn32480> fun
[01:23:56] <cmn32480> Cub Scouts got to launch their model rockets that we built on Friday
[01:24:13] <Bytram> kewel!
[01:24:18] <cmn32480> it was fun
[01:24:20] <Bytram> what size engines did you use?
[01:24:28] <Bytram> prolly a b6t
[01:24:30] <cmn32480> ones that fit in the rockets, silly
[01:24:34] <Bytram> LOL!
[01:24:55] * Bytram was really into model rocktry as a teen
[01:25:15] <Bytram> hmm, Estes and Centurion(?)
[01:25:18] <cmn32480> does B6-4 sound reasonable?
[01:25:23] <cmn32480> Estes
[01:25:38] <Bytram> yuppers!
[01:25:50] <Bytram> wow, that really takes me back!
[01:26:05] <cmn32480> these are the cheapest of the cheap cardboard tubes and a plastic parachute
[01:26:18] <cmn32480> they come 12 to a box, but are perfect for a scout troop
[01:26:34] <Bytram> B had x as much power as an A, the 6 was duration of the burn, and the 4 was the delay in seconds until the parachute eject charge went off
[01:27:06] <Bytram> I'm thinking B was twice as much as an A but it could have been 4x as much
[01:27:23] <cmn32480> you could have told me ti was 10x and I woud have no clue!
[01:27:28] <Bytram> LOL!
[01:27:30] <cmn32480> regardless, it was a fun day
[01:28:29] <Bytram> glad to hear it!
[01:29:10] <Bytram> heh! I just remembered that I went on a camping trip once in scouts and sent off a rocket there... ISTR getting a talking to about the risk of a fire out in the woods. Ooops!
[01:29:52] <cmn32480> this was 40+/- scouts with their cardboard rocket, and setting them off 3 ata time
[01:30:07] <cmn32480> from 3 different launch stands
[01:30:19] <cmn32480> kids running all over trying to catch them...
[01:30:31] <Bytram> whoosh! whoosh! whoosh!
[01:30:35] <cmn32480> yours truly even made a diving grab to much applause form the adults
[01:30:36] <Bytram> ROFL!
[01:30:44] <Bytram> woo hoo!
[01:30:47] <Bytram> http://www.estesrockets.com
[01:30:52] <cmn32480> it was a good time
[01:30:53] <Schwifty> ^ 03001606 - B6-4 Engines
[01:32:09] <cmn32480> strangely enough, it is a fun hobby that is fairly cheap to get in to, until you start manufacturing your own rockets
[01:33:08] <cmn32480> even some of the big stuff is only $50 or less

[01:33:22] <Bytram> my dad worked at a place that had a bunch of clear plastic tubes they put around the long fluorescent light tubes so that if/when they broke, the glass would be contained. We used em as stock for making rockets and had a boat load of cheap fun with em.
[01:33:45] <cmn32480> sounds like a good time!
[01:34:25] <Bytram> sure was! Biggest challenge was making sure the fins were perfectly vertical or else the rocket would spin and/or go off course
[01:36:29] <cmn32480> how were thigns in your world today?
[01:37:15] <Bytram> I just saw the dimensions on that rocket you linked... nearly 4 *feet* tall!??! wow!
[01:38:02] <Bytram> OMG and it uses F and *G* engines? holy moley!
[01:38:03] <cmn32480> can go to nearly 2000 feet
[01:38:37] <Bytram> I grew up near an airport, I'm surprised we never got a 'visit' with all the rockets we sent off!
[01:39:16] <cmn32480> 2000 feet? I think you need an FAA permit for that
[01:39:28] <cmn32480> and you better have A LOT of open land
[01:39:37] <cmn32480> or a GPS tracker
[01:39:47] <Bytram> I think you're right on both counts
[01:40:03] <cmn32480> but damn that'd be fun!
[01:40:16] <Bytram> NOD NOD!
[01:40:42] <cmn32480> right up until the cops show up
[01:41:07] <Bytram> launch and ... RUN!

[01:42:45] <Schwifty> ^ 03Wiki: Model rocket motor classification
[01:44:10] <cmn32480> So G level is the biggest stuff you can get without a license
[01:44:18] <Bytram> nod nod
[01:45:07] <cmn32480> I find it interesting that S is the largest amateur motor, and if it were classified the same way, a Saturn V engine woudl be an AG
[01:45:58] <Bytram> hmm, where'd you see that?
[01:45:59] <cmn32480> and a G motor from Estes is only about $27
[01:46:23] <cmn32480> in the wikipedia cahrt in the notes field for S
[01:48:47] <cmn32480> crap... nearly forgot to put my hotels on my expenses!
[01:49:00] <Bytram> that would be a big OOPS!
[01:49:13] <cmn32480> and a very expensive one
[01:52:39] <Bytram> I remember some articles on the green site about a guy who fashioned his own rockets out of aluminum and sent them up to ridiculous heights.
[01:52:59] <cmn32480> I am sure there are Youtube videos

[01:55:11] <Bytram> *BIG* toys!
[01:55:22] <cmn32480> and big $$ too no doubt

[02:06:00] <Schwifty> ^ 03Apple's iOS App Store suffers first major attack| Reuters
[02:08:45] <Bytram> title is a bit sensationalistic...
[02:08:46] <Bytram> The hackers embedded the malicious code in these apps by convincing developers of legitimate software to use a tainted, counterfeit version of Apple's software for creating iOS and Mac apps, which is known as Xcode, Apple said.
[02:08:49] * Deucalion wanders into #editorial - how goes things?
[02:09:16] <cmn32480> if you are into model rockets... it has been quite the discussion
[02:09:23] <Bytram> Deucalion: !!
[02:09:39] <cmn32480> mostly me learning from Bytram.. but still interesting
[02:09:44] <Bytram> doing well. tired after a full day and just chilling out a bit before bed time.
[02:10:14] <Bytram> and me trying to remember stuff he did a few decades ago. (model rocketry)
[02:10:43] <Bytram> Deucalion: and how's things for you?
[02:11:17] <cmn32480> still fighting ipv6?
[02:12:19] <Deucalion> cmn32480, I'm in the UK - I'd probably be locked up if I had the makings of a rocket on hand. Possession of Substances Potentially Useful to a Terrorist or Possessing Plans for a Device That could Imaginably Be Used For Terroristic Sedition or some such nebulous cryd.
[02:12:53] <Bytram> sry to hear that.
[02:13:05] <cmn32480> shame... I set off my first one ever today with the cub scouts, and it was a blast (pun intended)
[02:13:36] <Deucalion> cmn32480, I am not fighting ipv6 - just learning. Bytram, I am fine thank you.
[02:13:39] * Bytram had just closed all his rocketry tabs but seems to recall that there is a model rocketry association in England so all hopeis not lost
[02:14:19] <cmn32480> lucky... I
[02:14:22] <Bytram> it may not be 'black magic', but I'd wager it's a *very* dark shade of gray.
[02:14:27] <cmn32480> I'm fighting to get my expenses done
[02:14:49] <Bytram> did you save all your receipts?
[02:15:15] <cmn32480> yes
[02:15:21] <cmn32480> but I'm like 45 days behind
[02:15:26] <Bytram> that'll help!
[02:15:31] <cmn32480> :-p
[02:16:05] <Bytram> much like cooking... get out all the ingredients at the start and then keep doing stuff until all the ingredients are put away.
[02:16:19] <cmn32480> SOMETHIGN LIKE THAT
[02:16:24] <Bytram> oooch! 45 days? that's quite a bit of moolah
[02:16:37] <cmn32480> but I have to sort the big pile of ingredients into different dishes
[02:16:47] <Deucalion> Bytram, yeh, I was exaggerating as always :) I'm sure ordering in a pre-made rocket engine would be fine... ordering up bulk of the chemicals that would go into such a thing might raise an eyebrow and result in a knock on the door. At least our cops tend to knock rather than throw stun grenades and shoot dogs before getting to the question stage :D
[02:16:51] <cmn32480> I'm around $4k right now
[02:17:18] <Bytram> THAT sounds like an incentive
[02:17:30] * Bytram notes that could be a reply to either of you!
[02:17:53] <Bytram> break time; biab
[02:18:27] * cmn32480 wishes EZPass's website wasn't so farking slow
[02:31:42] <Bytram> Deucalion: I'm over here.
[02:32:08] <cmn32480> hey bytram - if you look in the queue, ther eis a merged story at the bottom.
[02:32:15] <Bytram> My current thoughts on a new poll were along the lines of the oldest piece of computer equipment that you regularly use each month.
[02:32:34] <Bytram> cmn32480: looking
[02:32:35] <Deucalion> wow - not so much a time lord as a channel lord... he pings from here, he pings from there, yet nowhere to be found.
[02:32:43] <cmn32480> I pulled together 2 stories, one because it was an inflamatory piee of shit that shoudl have been deleted out of hand, on another that is the response to the inflamatory piece of shit from gewg_
[02:33:12] <Deucalion> now now cmn32480 - remember this chan is logged
[02:33:48] <cmn32480> the first inmflamatroy piece of shit was from an AC, who in the summary, says he basically can't be bother to find a link to the inflammatory crap he is writing
[02:33:49] * Bytram is curious why they were merged and not just deleted?
[02:34:03] <cmn32480> i wasn't sure
[02:34:24] <cmn32480> so to pull the from gen pop, I merged and went back later
[02:34:34] <Bytram> k
[02:34:41] <cmn32480> and I was thinking that they both ought to get canned
[02:35:41] <Bytram> you do raise an interesting point, though. What happens when we take a story from subs, work on it a bit, realize it's not site-worthy... how can we provide a 'rejection' message, then?
[02:35:42] <cmn32480> so you think delete both and move on with our day?
[02:36:15] <Bytram> the one without links, definitely. the other looks to be a reply to a story that has not yet already made it to the front page... or am I reading that one wrong?
[02:36:20] <cmn32480> as long as it is still in the sub queue, it gets declined
[02:36:31] <cmn32480> that is how I read it
[02:36:40] <cmn32480> gewg_ is very proactive that way
[02:36:52] <cmn32480> though for all I know he could have sent in both
[02:37:14] <Deucalion> Bytram, what would qualify as computer equipment? I have a scanner that is ancient, but requires a Win2K VM to run (comes out maybe once per year). I also have a waist high ADDS Mentor tower that gets booted up perhaps once every 3 years just to satiate my ancient love of PICK databases. Thing weighs a tonne as it incorporates its own UPS batteries... which still hold charge incidentally :)
[02:37:15] <Bytram> rationale on the first one is that if the submitter cannot be bothered toprovide links, we are under no obligation to go looking for them. besides the sub mentioned it would prolly be rejected anyway.
[02:38:05] <cmn32480> and I think it ought to be
[02:38:24] <cmn32480> \but I had not gotten to that point when the gewg_ sub hit the queue
[02:38:27] <Bytram> ahh, grasshopper! That is the brilliance of a properly phrased poll. Make it seem clear-cut but allow for the community to realize it is not as clear-cut as it first seemed and to encourage discussion on that line, too.
[02:38:37] <Bytram> cmn32480: nuke em
[02:38:53] <cmn32480> ok
[02:38:55] <cmn32480> so I was right
[02:39:17] <Bytram> I concur with your assessment of their worthiness for our site.
[02:39:23] <Bytram> orlack thereof.
[02:39:31] <cmn32480> both have been declined
[02:39:50] <Bytram> nod nod
[02:40:31] <Deucalion> Wow - that library TOR piece brought out the flames
[02:40:42] <cmn32480> haven't read it yet
[02:41:24] <Bytram> orly? theone where the library decided to go ahead and re-enable their tor exit node?
[02:41:53] <Bytram> cmn32480: pm
[02:41:54] <cmn32480> I saw it, and had read the sub, but have not looked at the comments'
[02:42:07] <Bytram> same here
[02:44:55] <Deucalion> Bytram - yep. Although other places report is as the library is running a TOR relay not an exit. Not sure which is right. I would run relay, but not exit from home - exit from home is ripe for all home computing gear to be seized should some dubious traffic emit from it. If I were to run an exit, I would put it on a VPS or remotely hosted server that I pay for.
[02:45:19] <Bytram> agreed!
[02:51:08] <Deucalion> That said, no doubt the seizure law could bent to "you paid for this remote exit node, hence we get to seize all your home kit on suspicion of XXXXX, just in case"...this makes me sad.
[02:53:01] <Bytram> yep, same here.
[02:53:06] * Deucalion arrives at the "clock" story - 114 comments... clickety... did I say Sundays were quiet on the site... I take that back
[02:53:17] * Bytram smiles.
[02:53:43] * cmn32480 thinks Deucalion migtht want to take his firextinguisher with him
[02:54:00] * Deucalion invokes calming music

[02:56:24] <Bytram> and the same to YOU! Many thinks for the trip down memory lane and model rocketry, too. Many happy times... could even say it was a blast!
[02:56:39] <Bytram> well, that one was dud.
[02:56:40] <cmn32480> :-)
[02:56:49] <Deucalion> sleep well Bytram

[12:08:57] <CoolHand> plus I'm shocked that it blew up like that on a weekend.. I guess we don't have too many NFL fans to be doing that on a Sunday.. heh
[12:09:57] <cmn32480> I'm not so sure we have too many NFL fans period
[12:10:39] <cmn32480> either of those stories woudl have seen a plus 50% comment count on a normal weekday, and the counts will likely go up during the day today
[12:11:02] <cmn32480> not that comment count is generally a good indicator of decent discussion
[12:11:15] <CoolHand> yeah, that was my point.. Sunday is game day (and at the beginning of the season when its fresh) so most NFL fans are watching that. MOst years I would be, but since my team wasn't playing until tonight, I gave the NFL a miss, and geeked out on GoT theories on youtube all day (and worked on my motorcycle)

[12:15:41] <CoolHand> like Philmont
[12:15:46] <cmn32480> yes sir.
[12:15:59] <cmn32480> you can get .30-06 and a few others out there
[12:17:26] <cmn32480> <giggle> I'm going through my spam and have one that got caught from "Mr. Wang"
[12:17:29] <CoolHand> I'd like to make it out there, but not sure its ever gonna happen.. Boundary Waters may have been my biggest adventure..
[12:17:44] <cmn32480> been there 3 times
[12:17:45] <CoolHand> sounds like somoen you'd like... haha
[12:18:03] <cmn32480> at age 14, 17, and 21
[12:18:25] <CoolHand> BW was cool.. I went last year with my kid.. although when I was a scout we went somewhere similar up further north in Canada
[12:18:34] <CoolHand> I can't remember where it was though.
[12:18:49] <cmn32480> Boundary Waters... Canoeing in Minnesota, yes?
[12:19:42] <CoolHand> yes, although I didn't get to canoe, had to use a small boat.. we had a mix of boats and canoes in out troop. I tried to get in the canoeing group, but didn't have that luck
[12:19:49] <CoolHand> my kid was happy we had the boat though
[12:20:21] <CoolHand> We accidentally got lost and ended up fairly deep in Canada one day... oops.. didn't get caught by Mounties though
[12:20:30] <cmn32480> hehehe
[12:20:42] <cmn32480> that was one that I missed in my time in the Scouts
[12:21:12] <cmn32480> my troop went, but I had something else going on at the time and wasn't able to go. canoeing wasn't my thing
[12:21:38] -!- aqu4 [aqu4!~aqu4bot@universe2.us/ircbot/aqu4] has joined #editorial
[12:22:32] <CoolHand> I've always loved to canoe.. occasionally.. not all the time, too much work and too time consuming - have too many other hobbies.. but one good canoe'ing trip a year or so... yah
[12:23:06] <cmn32480> I also missed out on the Florida Sea Base trip
[12:24:26] <CoolHand> oh, that'd be something..
[12:24:56] <cmn32480> my troop was pretty active, one, sometimes 2 high adventure trips per summer
[12:25:58] <cmn32480> Philmont was every 3 years like clockwork when our number came up. always 2 full crews of 10-12
[12:27:42] <cmn32480> they actually just put all the crew photos online going back to the mid 80's
[12:28:22] <CoolHand> wow, that's impressive.. heck of a troop there
[12:28:30] <cmn32480> I was very lucky
[12:29:05] <cmn32480> https://registerphilmont.org
[12:29:09] <CoolHand> my college buddy out in Kansas has been to Philmont a couple times.. but he lives a lot closer, so that's cheating
[12:29:09] <cmn32480> my first trip....
[12:29:46] <CoolHand> looks like the 80's... :) that you at bottom right?
[12:29:52] <cmn32480> yup
[12:29:54] <cmn32480> 1994
[12:30:11] <CoolHand> ahh, not too far out of the 80s
[12:30:38] <cmn32480> I'll have to look at my belt to find the other crew numbers.... I only remember the first one for certain
[12:30:54] <cmn32480> and there are hundreds of photos per summer to wade through
[12:31:05] <CoolHand> I bet..
[12:33:36] * cmn32480 waxes nostalgic for a moment
[12:34:47] zz_janrinok is now known as janrinok
[12:34:51] <CoolHand> Haliburton Scout Reserve in Ontario I believe is where my troop went when I was in scouts (and some went to Philmont one year, but I couldn't make that trip due to other stuff)
[12:34:59] <CoolHand> janrinok: !!
[12:35:13] <cmn32480> janrinok !!
[12:36:37] <janrinok> CoolHand: !! cmn32480: !!
[12:37:08] <janrinok> hope you two gents are both well?
[12:37:17] <cmn32480> as well as can be expected
[12:37:30] <CoolHand> yea, we're just waxing nostalgic for some reason
[12:37:32] <CoolHand> heh
[12:38:06] <cmn32480> as long as they don't peel off the paper over the wax it won't hurt
[12:38:32] <CoolHand> dat's good
[12:38:57] <janrinok> I'm just backreading your reminiscences
[12:39:06] <CoolHand> why does Google maps never work as good for me as it did 5 years ago??? grrr...
[12:39:50] <janrinok> cmn32480: which one is you in the photo?
[12:40:00] <cmn32480> lower right
[12:40:16] <cmn32480> I had quite the big glasses at the time....
[12:40:44] <janrinok> ... no making excuses now
[12:42:16] <janrinok> did you both have a good weekend?
[12:44:43] <CoolHand> I did.. how bout u janrinok ?
[12:45:20] <janrinok> yeah, not too bad. I'm making big changes to Arthur so managed to get a bit of coding done over the weekend.
[12:45:39] <janrinok> other than that, S is well, and we managed to have a quiet relaxing time
[12:52:09] <cmn32480> twas good. launched model rockets with the cub scouts yesterday... which lead to the discussion above.
[12:52:23] <cmn32480> quiet adn relaxing? well... we can't have that!
[12:57:33] <CoolHand> mine was actually fairly quiet and relaxing too.. (other than my kid's football game friday evening)
[12:58:23] <janrinok> did they win?
[13:18:00] <janrinok> cmn32480: have you got a moment to answer a question please?
[13:18:11] <cmn32480> depends
[13:18:15] <cmn32480> am I in trouble?
[13:18:23] <cmn32480> if not, then yes
[13:18:24] <janrinok> regarding Arthur - and no, you are not in trouble
[13:18:32] <cmn32480> If I am, we will ahve to schedule some time
[13:18:41] <cmn32480> certainly
[13:18:48] <cmn32480> what questions can I amswer about Arthur?
[13:19:08] * cmn32480 is a little confused as the programmer is asking ME questions
[13:19:27] <janrinok> you asked for the ability to fetch a range of dates. Do you ever envisage having to select a range that does not simply go back from today e.g. a range of last Wed to last Fri ?
[13:19:46] <cmn32480> I shoudl think not
[13:20:06] <janrinok> so just going back a set number of days from today would be OK>
[13:20:11] <cmn32480> I woudl think that, at most, we woudl be going back 4 or 5 days
[13:20:50] <cmn32480> we are tryign to be current (thouh not always successful)
[13:21:08] <janrinok> I've extended Arthur to enable the user to add additional or different rss feeds than those covered by rss-bot.
[13:21:19] <cmn32480> ooooo fancy!
[13:21:38] <janrinok> the rss-bot feeds are always date ordered, whereas rss might go back much further
[13:21:51] <cmn32480> ok
[13:21:58] <cmn32480> sounds logical
[13:22:42] <janrinok> rather than pick a design that is constrained by either system, I just wondered what your preferences for date ranges would be. I can now design around that in a more efficient manner
[13:23:29] <janrinok> if we ever get additional nexuses, it will be easy to add additional feeds to cover those topics
[13:23:59] <cmn32480> agreed. and we may be able to get the rss-bot updated for additional feeds as needed. though, I don't know who wrote/maintains that bot for ut
[13:24:02] <cmn32480> *us
[13:24:18] <janrinok> furthermore, control will rest with the user, rather than having to accept what rss-bot is currently programmed with
[13:24:45] <janrinok> I had a problem last week (?) when rss-bot was down for over 2 days
[13:25:37] <cmn32480> right, but with this added function, you could have looked at the rss for phys.org and the rest of the usual suspects fairly easily
[13:26:06] <janrinok> I did - which is why I wrote my own rss-parser which I had to give a list of url feeds to monitor ...
[13:26:25] <cmn32480> ahhhh... somebody is very smart
[13:26:31] <janrinok> ... or more correctly, I found a library which does all this and more :)
[13:26:33] * cmn32480 wishes it was me today
[13:41:58] <CoolHand> janrinok: Yes they won.. 1st time his school has won a homecoming game in years.. plus halfway through the season they have a winning record (3-2) for the fist time in years
[13:42:08] <CoolHand> sorry for late response... work is piling up
[13:42:28] <janrinok> understood, np
[13:44:26] * cmn32480 is glad he is not the only one... misery loves company after all
[13:46:19] <janrinok> look, if you two don't work hard to earn money in order to pay your taxes, how can we 'retired' folk live a life of luxury funded by the state?
[13:46:48] * cmn32480 thinks janrinok just cracked the whipw at himself adn coolhand!
[13:47:08] <cmn32480> I had counted on my editorial salary to help with that....
[13:47:59] <janrinok> I was merely explaining why you both have to work harder and for longer. Leave me to worry about such nasty things such as editorial salary etc. I'm looking after you guys really...
[13:49:14] * cmn32480 thinks janrinok just cracked the whip again.
[13:49:41] <janrinok> lol
[14:12:25] <cmn32480> janrinok - the last couple articles that hit the front page from Arthur have some serious wall of text to them
[14:12:50] <janrinok> I've not put any in today, do you mean over the weekend?
[14:12:57] <cmn32480> yeah
[14:13:06] <cmn32480> current 2 that just went liver
[14:13:24] <CoolHand> janrinok: My full trust is invested in you... really..
[14:14:06] <janrinok> ah, don't forget that they are the entire story. However, it was the best I had on a Sunday, and I couldn't find any easy way of cutting them down
[14:14:29] <cmn32480> couple comments bitching, I was just wondering.
[14:14:57] <janrinok> and where I could, I split them using extended story
[14:15:14] <cmn32480> good by me
[14:15:17] <cmn32480> p:-)
[14:15:32] <cmn32480> more curiosity on my part than anythgin else
[14:15:43] <janrinok> np, just looking at the comments
[14:17:00] <janrinok> fair criticism I suppose, but I'm not going to repeat our usual plea of 'give us something better to work with'...
[14:17:16] <cmn32480> I woudln't bother.
[14:19:19] <janrinok> I'm just comparing word counts on the front page displays, Arthur stories are not the longest, but the total if you read the Poo one is certainly the biggest there. I'm currently giving myself a slap on the wrist
[14:19:46] * cmn32480 cracks the whip back at janrinok
[14:20:01] * janrinok smiles, he likes that sort of thing...
[14:22:27] <CoolHand> u cheeky b@st@rd...
[14:22:40] * CoolHand has learned some British from Monty Python
[14:22:57] <janrinok> hey, mind your language, don't you dare use 'cheeky' in public again!
[14:23:09] <CoolHand> hah
[14:26:32] <janrinok> CoolHand: are you a MP fan?
[14:46:52] <CoolHand> inded
[14:47:17] <janrinok> me too, I have quite a lot of their stuff on old VHS tapes.
[14:47:37] <cmn32480> what's a VHS?
[14:47:49] <janrinok> I was waiting for that one ...
[14:48:11] <janrinok> it was more successful that Betamax!
[14:48:16] * cmn32480 points and laughs at the old technology
[14:48:18] <janrinok> than*
[14:48:37] <janrinok> at the time of the broadcasts, it was the latest and greatest..
[14:49:23] <janrinok> I would love it to be digitally remastered and re-broadcast. I would copy it all again.
[14:53:25] <Bytram> g'morning all.

[14:54:01] <cmn32480> bytram !!
[14:54:09] <Bytram> tired.
[14:54:20] <cmn32480> I assume you are referring to Monty Python's Flying Circus?
[14:54:25] <cmn32480> I have it on DVD.
[14:54:28] <Bytram> found an issue at 5am today and chatted with folks here about it.
[14:54:41] <janrinok> what's a DVD?
[14:54:48] <Bytram> I have a temp patch in place on dev.
[14:54:54] <janrinok> Bytram: which chan?
[14:55:19] <cmn32480> some old shit that looks like a Blu-ray but doesn't have nearly the storage or capacity
[14:55:48] <janrinok> ah, a glorified CD ... :)
[14:56:12] <Bytram> can't say.
[14:56:22] <janrinok> ah, ok
[15:17:43] janrinok is now known as janrinok_afk
[15:45:56] <CoolHand> I have Life of Brian on DVD original.. might as well be on VHS. I watched it the other day and was amazed at how grainy and low-res it looked... I guess it needs remastered..
[15:46:26] <CoolHand> (I have the other movies too, but not Flying Circus... I should get my hands on that..)
[15:53:07] <Bytram> anagram("Life of Brian") ==> "I of Elf Brain"
[15:53:18] <Bytram> wish I could stay and chat; gtg to work!
