[03:28:48] <cmn32480> We appreciate the assist
[03:29:47] <cmn32480> I shall stock the story queue,
[03:31:44] <juggs> cmn32480, https://soylentnews.org could do with attention - submitter "babbling5" showed with an ID in the sub Q but I couldn't find them to link to. Could do with an Orig Sub link added to.

[12:04:07] <janrinok> hi Bytram !
[12:24:09] janrinok is now known as janrinok_afk
[12:38:18] <Bytram> janrinok_afk: hey there!
[12:38:34] <Bytram> I just made a large addition to the Trinity test story: https://soylentnews.org
[12:38:39] <exec> └─ 13Error
[12:39:32] <Bytram> I'm thinking that the list of topics on the gov't web site that I added may want to be trimmed down, but not sure. Maybe just leave links to one of the sections?
[12:39:58] <Bytram> say, the one for 'Events' which in turn links to the story on the Trinity Test itself?
[12:40:45] <Bytram> Was trying to provide some balance wrt to the original story which seemed to be focused almost entirely on the 'downwinders'...
[12:41:44] <Bytram> the video I linked to is possibly the most amazing presentation of abstract data I have ever seen. Even though I'd seen it a few times before, it still held me captivated when I watched it recently.
[12:42:06] <Bytram> anyway, I gots to get ready for work, but didn't want to make large changes without letting someone know!
[12:42:13] <Bytram> have a great day!
[12:49:55] <cmn3248zzzzzzzzzz> heya bytram
[12:50:00] <cmn3248zzzzzzzzzz> how goes it?

[12:54:28] <cmn32480> ah well.... back to the customer site. I will NOT extend my stay again. I AM going home today.

[13:04:17] <Bytram> cmn32480|afk: I was AFK; and about to head out the door to go to work. :/
[13:04:31] <Bytram> but, I'm on vacation this coming week. =)
[13:04:51] <Bytram> gtg; hope you are able to leave today and have a successful visit, too!

[13:40:47] janrinok_afk is now known as janrinok
[13:40:50] <janrinok> hi guys
[13:48:40] <nick> hi janrinok
[13:48:50] <janrinok> hi nick - how's things?
[13:49:08] <nick> meh. how about you?
[13:49:21] <janrinok> much better than 'meh' thanks !
[13:50:15] <nick> sorry ive not been around again, things are rather stressful right now, even spending time with the family for a few hours is time i can't afford at the moment and stresses me out.
[13:50:38] <janrinok> sry to hear that - but I guessed that you were busy
[13:51:41] <janrinok> things on the site are a bit changeable. Sometimes we have plenty of eds around other times - like this morning - nothing happens and NC ended up having to post stories
[13:51:57] <nick> im hoping over the next week things will settle down
[13:52:18] <janrinok> you take it easy, we'll still be here when you have some time :)
[13:52:40] <nick> yeah i saw that last night, didn't feel good about it, but i was about to pass out so couldn't stick around to help out
[13:52:56] <janrinok> np - I wasn't criticising
[13:54:44] <janrinok> there is nothing in the queue to work with at the moment, and I've put stories out ready until lunchtime our time tomorrow.
[13:56:02] <janrinok> time for tea - brb
[13:56:07] <nick> i will try and get some done some time tonight to try and keep us ahead of the game
[14:05:10] <janrinok> nick - I wouldn't bother. We are good until mid-tomorrow, and the other guys have yet to come for today, so we should be OK
[14:24:48] <nick> i'll keep an eye to see what happens, i have to go in an hour to do a site visit but should be lurking after that until whenever
[14:25:13] <janrinok> you are due for another festival soon, aren't you?
[14:28:04] <nick> i was at one earlier this week, but only for the day
[14:28:22] <janrinok> was that the Latitude do?
[14:28:58] <nick> that was part of the spending time with the family that was stressing me out, work on the way to festival and on the way back, and whilst there, completely out of communications so no calls or emails for about 24hrs, which is generally not acceptable.
[14:29:14] <nick> have never actually done latitude
[14:29:19] <nick> although heard good things about it
[14:29:21] <janrinok> ah, OK
[14:30:51] <nick> i didn't want to go, but it was the only non-work focused day ive had with my dad for a year or so
[14:31:16] <janrinok> is he well?
[14:31:48] <nick> yeah, he's doing alright, been enjoying his summer
[14:32:46] <nick> he was on a downer earlier this year, as he's about to turn 60, and there's a history of men in the family not making it that far.
[14:33:30] <janrinok> well, I hope he makes it! I have - nothing changed for me - but I can see why your Dad would have a different view
[14:34:37] <nick> he looks after himself pretty well, although he should eat better than he does while on the road
[14:34:47] <janrinok> shouldn't we all...
[14:35:40] <nick> but he doesnt get the opportunity to stress himself out when he's here, which makes a big difference to his overall wellbeing
