[02:38:30] <Bytram> So, bill passes both the House and the Senate, Trump signs it, and demands it be changed so the benefit check increases from $600 per person to $2000? If it
[02:38:42] <Bytram> is signed, how can it be changed?
[02:39:18] <Bytram> Looks like we wants his cake and wants to be able to eat it, too?

[02:42:41] <Fnord666> yeah no idea how that's supposed to work.
[02:42:49] <Fnord666> He either signed it or he didn't
[02:45:12] <Fnord666> unless you read the submissions queue in which case he did both!

[03:50:51] <Bytram> =w grolsch beer
[03:50:52] <systemd> Grolsch Brewery (Koninklijke Grolsch N.V. - "Royal Grolsch"), known simply as Grolsch (Dutch pronunciation: [ɣrɔls]), is a Dutch brewery founded in 1615 - https://en.wikipedia.org
[04:03:15] <Fnord666> There's a name I haven't heard in a long time
[04:11:40] <Bytram> I was 2nding the new stock listing for the "bio degradable" plastics company. That a recycling company was complaining about a product that makes it hard for the recycler reminded me of the brou ha ha with Grolsch -- their ceramic (at the time) tops wreaked major damage to glass recycling companies.
[04:11:53] <Bytram> Fnord666: ^^^
[04:12:50] * Bytram wasn't absolutely certain of he name or (my memory!), so looked it up to double check.
[04:12:57] <Fnord666> Ah, gotcha
[04:13:04] <Bytram> s/he/the/
[04:13:04] <SedBot> <Bytram> wasn't absolutely certain of the name or (my memory!), so looked it up to double check.
[04:13:06] <Fnord666> I hadn't heard of that
[04:13:47] <Fnord666> Did they have the wired on stoppers?
[04:13:54] <Bytram> it was a long while ago
[04:14:06] <Bytram> kinda
[04:15:36] <Bytram> there was a cam-like mechanism that was made of very heavy gauge "wire" that flipped up and held the stopper in place.
[04:17:04] <Fnord666> That's the one I meant.
[04:17:35] <Bytram> from a foggy memory, I think they could safely extract the metal parts from the waste stream, but the ceramic stopper wreaked havoc either when the glass was crushed or later when it was melted.
[04:21:18] <Fnord666> The bottles were handy for home brewing because you didn't need a capper.
[04:22:31] <Bytram> they mentioned that in the Wikipedia article whose link appeared above: https://en.wikipedia.org

[04:39:15] <Fnord666> Time for me to head towards bed. Good night all!
[04:39:34] <chromas> =g'night Fnord666

[04:40:16] * systemd viciously embiggens a spoon of hairy eye with chromas
[04:40:29] <Fnord666> mmmm, beans.
[04:40:41] * chromas draws a razor for the eye
[04:40:44] <Fnord666> although used beans, not so much
[04:41:00] <Fnord666> used != refried
[04:43:17] <chromas> recycled beans
[04:44:44] <AzumaHazuki> beans, the poor (wo)man's meat. good food if you're a decent cook (and have a bottle of Beano)
[04:44:52] <AzumaHazuki> i eat lots of them
[04:46:24] <chromas> Skip the beano to create a protective shield
[04:47:52] <AzumaHazuki> smells awful though >< i don't get how people apparently don't mind their own gas, i can't stand mine
[04:48:42] <chromas> Just get yourself one of those bird masks and fill it with garlic and stuff
[04:52:17] <AzumaHazuki> maybe i just have a really strong sense of smell and taste to make up for poor hearing and vision?
[04:52:59] <chromas> I smell a new Marvel property
