[02:14:51] <Bytram> Fnord666: I'm struggling with: https://soylentnews.org

[02:15:11] <Fnord666> one sec
[02:15:33] <Fnord666> gotcha.
[02:15:40] <Fnord666> What questions can I answer for you
[02:16:09] <Fnord666> And feel free to recut it from the beginning if you wish
[02:16:29] <Fnord666> Tried to capture the gist of it but...
[02:17:17] <Bytram> I think it misses the point that they started with a nuanced list of *words*. then used those *words* to do a search for pictures. what they got pictures, each got the label from the search term. Problem is the list of words they started with was... "not nice"
[02:17:18] <Fnord666> Or are you questioning running it at all?
[02:19:01] <Bytram> as a "set theory" kind of operation, it makes perfect sense... until you actually look at the exact words.
[02:20:12] <Bytram> give me a list of all words that would be used to refer to a person. how are they alike and how are they different? You want all the nuances you can find!
[02:21:29] <Fnord666> Gotcha. I was trying to capture the broader concept of AI training sets in general and a lack of introspection into what are in the sets.
[02:21:34] <Bytram> I'd struggling to express myself, but I think I've gotten close enough to get the idea.
[02:21:45] <Bytram> nod nod
[02:22:00] <Bytram> there's two, important, factors at play here
[02:22:06] <Fnord666> This is a perfect example of the broader concept
[02:22:40] <Bytram> nod nod
[02:23:10] <Bytram> I'm too tired to try and sort it out now and have an early start tomorrow,
[02:23:55] <Fnord666> I'll drop something else in that time slot and push this one out nodisplay until later
[02:24:05] <Bytram> how about swapping places between this story and the 17:13 story?
[02:24:19] <Fnord666> could do that.
[02:24:23] <Fnord666> I'll take care of it
[02:24:48] <Bytram> Keeping it simple
[02:25:29] <Fnord666> done
[02:25:52] <Bytram> great! thanks!
[02:26:06] <Bytram> that's going to have to be it for me tonight
