[20:56:21] <ClownHatLinux> Thanks for submitting this story. It appears that no editor has yet selected this story to be run. At least a week has passed since the story was submitted, and if an editor was going to have selected it, they would likely have done so by now. It has, therefore, been removed from the submission queue.

[21:07:47] <Bytram> OOops!
[21:08:39] * Bytram worked so hard on winnowing down the chine court story, I failed to notice I forgot to change he default release time provided by the system.
[21:09:28] <Bytram> suddenly realized we had two stories going out within 7 minutes of each other. :(
[21:09:54] <Bytram> quickly changed the release time on the china story, but wasn't until 66 hits and 4 comments.
[21:09:58] <Bytram> ~blame
[21:10:00] * exec points at Bytram
[21:13:45] <Bytram> okay, after that quick fix was able to move chine into next 'slot' and moved the story that was there until the top of the queue
[21:14:20] <Bytram> that way, there is the shortest period of the china story being 'disappeared' to those few who had already seen it.
[21:14:52] * Bytram thinks we really do need a deltaT column in the story list page

[22:45:45] <Deucalion> Seconded ^ Even though I don't use it I can only imagine a "Time To Live" or " T minus" nHRS : nMINS would be useful for scheduling as opposed to long form date times.

[22:51:20] <Bytram> there is a need for human intervention to understand meta stories can go out any time, "not display" stories kinda don't exist, etc.
[23:07:00] <Deucalion> The mysteries of the Editorial process... I dabbled a while back, even "edited" and push live a few - don't think I did a particularly stella job of fact checking or anything at the time tbh as I was either editing my own meta crap or we were in one of those occasional pipeline empty situations. Still made me appreciate the work load pushing these out day to day involves for you guys.
