[12:59:09] <Bytram> Carny: Hi! You seem to have an extra "m" in "submit"
[13:01:19] <Bytram> Carny: For more control over your story submission, open the main page for the site ( https://soylentnews.org ) and look for the "Submit Story" link in the "Navigation" slashbox on the left-hand side of the page. It should bring you to: https://soylentnews.org

[20:39:16] <Bytram> chromas: Hi there! Hope you are having a good day! When you get a chance, could you please look at what upstart created here: https://soylentnews.org

[20:39:57] <Bytram> ISTM that site-local links are appearing as if they were running off our domain. :P
[20:41:06] <Bytram> Here's the text around the first one I noticed:
[20:41:07] <Bytram> If you simply want to try Debian 10 buster without installing it, you can use one of the available live images [soylentnews.org] which load and run
[20:41:59] <Bytram> Looks like all links from there and onward are resolving to our domain

[22:33:03] <RandomFactor> the dept on "Mississippi Bans Calling Plant and Cultured-Meat Patties 'Burgers'" should use 'cylinder cross section' not 'hemispherical cross section' fwiw.
[22:33:57] <RandomFactor> or maybe cylindrical
[22:34:47] <RandomFactor> or even something entirely different like Goku tofu burgers

[23:09:26] <chromas> Bytram: it's because they're relative links. It fixes ones that start with a / ("/downloads") but not ones with virtual directories ("../downloads") which is what they have
[23:10:23] <chromas> Since their dots go to the root directory, they don't really even need them, but it's not like Debian is run by very smart people

[23:52:37] <Bytram> chromas: I figured it was something like that, but just-in-case-it-could-be-fixed-here, I thought I'd ask! Thanks for checking it out!
