[00:00:20] <n1> takyon, i'm a bit lost on your 'g steps to enable them to run more effectively.' comment at the end of your VR sub
[00:37:48] <Bytram> Hi all!
[00:38:45] <Bytram> Yes, I *thought* it might be a dupe, but I saw it in passing on my way out the door or something, and wasn't *sure* it was a dupe. Looking at it now, I am convinced it IS a dupe. Flagging it as NOT DISPLAY now.

[00:41:24] <n1> hi Bytram
[00:41:37] <Bytram> hi there!
[00:42:02] <Bytram> how are things on the other half of the world?
[00:42:47] <n1> going alright, life taking over a bit but trying to crawl forwards to progress
[00:42:59] <n1> how is life treating Bytram
[00:43:03] <Bytram> story move completed.
[00:43:13] <Bytram> good!
[00:43:47] <Bytram> No way to tell the story in a short form, but there were two young women walking past my counter about 10 years ago, chatting in Russian
[00:44:05] <Bytram> when they got near me, I greeted them... "previet" (or however it is spelled)
[00:44:44] <Bytram> one of them was astonished, spun around and demanded "How you speak R-r-r-russian" /me loves how they trill their Rs
[00:45:02] <Bytram> that started a nice little conversation
[00:45:31] <Bytram> they'd stop by every month or two after that just to say "Hi" and chat, (and buy watches =)
[00:46:02] <Bytram> anyway, about 5-6 years ago they moved away -- one was going to study to become a Registered Nurse
[00:46:26] <Bytram> which is plenty hard enough when English is your primary language! But, ESL? Whew!
[00:47:02] <Bytram> So, I was waiting on a guest today, when I saw someone walk by, greeted her like I would anyone else, and had a double take! It was her!
[00:47:35] <Bytram> excused myself from my current guest, got out of my bay, and went over, offered her a hug, and it was like greeting a long lost sister!
[00:48:10] <Bytram> Wish she could have hung around so we could chat longer, but just seeing her really made my day! And, from her response, it really made HER day, too!
[00:48:28] <Bytram> other than that, I am melting... air temp is about 85 F here
[00:48:38] <Bytram> call it 30 C
[00:50:43] <Bytram> On an entirely different note, given Monday is a holiday here in the states (Independence Day -Celebrated date -- would actually be on the 4th, o/w), and the sub queue is a bit lean, I suggest we consider going 2h 30m between stories until noonish EDT on Tuesday.
[00:51:25] <Bytram> that all said, I just got home from work a short while ago and need to get some dinner together... biab
[00:51:33] * n1 hat tip
[00:51:43] <Bytram> =)
[00:51:53] <n1> good to hear you're doing well and got to bring back some memories :)
[00:52:04] <n1> agree on the queue shift
[00:52:31] <Bytram> Ahhh,geee! :( https://arstechnica.com

[01:17:16] <Bytram> just subbed a story announcing the scrubbed and rescheduled SpaceX launch
[01:18:55] <Bytram> n1: if you are in agreement, I'd like to reschedule the currently-queued, but as yet not released stories to the 2h 30m cadence -- that should buy us some time.
[01:19:47] <Bytram> that would be the 5 stories up to and including "Chinese Long March-5 Rocket Launch Fails"
[01:30:38] <Bytram> commencing rescheduling
