[18:36:59] <janrinok> sort of. As I said, we've been busy with hospital, opticians and other appointments, each of which is an adventure when it comes to loading S and the wheelchair and trundling off towards civilisation.

[18:38:18] <janrinok> the appointment might take 30 mins to an hour, but it is at least half a day gone to make the journey etc. The winches are brilliant. Moving her around inside the house is easy-peasy now

[18:39:49] <janrinok> The problem is things like opticians not being able to put a wheelchair in front of all the magic gizmos that they want to use. They want her to sit on a swivel chair and hold her chin in a certain position - and it ain't going to happen

[18:40:40] <janrinok> So it is back to the old fashioned way of measuring eyesight. The 30 minute appointment took best part of 90 minutes and the optician was late for her lunch
