[14:15:05] <LaminatorX> My five year old is actually in a real tragic gut-puncher of a play full of torture, murder, totalitarianism, and abuse, but none of that is in her scene. The fact that she shows up near the end alive and happy is a surprise twist. Needless to say, we leave the intercom in the green room off while waiting for her scene.
[14:16:55] <janrinok> that seems like a pretty intense play for a 5-year-old. She is obviously of higher calibre than our own 5-year-olds who dream of the role of 'Peppa Pig' or somesuch.

She understands in broad strokes that the other actors are behaving the way they are because their characters all thought her character had been killed, and they're surprised that she's alive. Further details about the plot are left opaque to her.
