[04:17:16] <Bytram> Risks are on a continuum. If my bank (a MAJOR one), had a major flaw in tehir ATMs, the word on the street would knock them down, hard.
[04:17:33] <Bytram> So, it's more than good enough for the VAST majority of people and for the bank.
[04:17:36] <n1> More careful than I used to be. When I worked with ATM's I didn't care at all though...
[04:17:55] <Bytram> if I get caugh, somehow, I'll not be the only one, and I know how to make noises when I need to. ;)

[04:18:54] <Bytram> get caught: caught up in some kind of AATM security bungle that costs me.
[04:18:57] <n1> That's also why security isn't better on most things, it's not cost effective

[04:20:09] <Bytram> n1: yes, but there's always that tipping point to watch for when all-of-a-sudden, things go BONK, and you wish (NOW) that you'd done the upgrade already. Can you say Target?

[19:38:52] <janrinok> Yes it is never a pleasant task, but I also have to be able to lift her from here wheelchair to the dentists chair, and do lots of things while she is lying there that you and I would take for granted. Even rinsing her mouth out can be a problem because she cannot lean forward to empty it again without assistance.
[19:41:28] <n1> must be trying, she's very lucky to have you. hopefully you can get it over with soon, i was shocked how long it took to sort out my issues on the NHS.
[19:41:41] <n1> are you covered by insurance of the french medical system there?
[19:43:02] <janrinok> yes, we have to contribute but it is a good system - far better than the UK version. It is one of the main reasons that we have settled here.
[19:43:50] <n1> thats great, very very happy about that. i don't have real complaints, except it took longer than i would have liked
