[17:03:26] <LaminatorX> I took the band out to an open-mic night last night, and we ended up playing for ove half an hour, since the other acts there were all rappers who were to cool to go on before nine.
[17:04:28] <janrinok> LaminatorX: lol. But good to hear you were playing last night. how many do you estimate were at the gig?
[17:05:49] <LaminatorX> Mostly the rappers and their friends. But they warmed up to us. We're hitting these as a low stress way to break in our new fiddle player. She's not used to performing outside of an orchestra setting.

[17:10:53] <LaminatorX> Good chance we loose the violin right when she hits her stride. She's sending out grad-school applications. I'd ideally want to play an actual booked show once a month, but right now we're hustling left and right to get stage-practice.
[17:11:24] <janrinok> understood - have you got a web presence that I can look at?
[17:15:59] <LaminatorX> Not much, we keep a low profile for fear of having the copyright hammer drop for our unauthorised appropriation on Tolkien lyrics. I think they were streaming at the club last night though. I'll see if it's archived.
