[20:18:06] <LaminatorX> Well, it's a struggle to keep it all moving, but things should be better soon. The 2 jobs + editing wasn't soo bad, but when everyone in my house was sick on top of it, that was a rough week.

[20:19:58] <janrinok> I had had enough by about 2130 local yesterday and I just had to quit and do nothing. Then I couldn't sleep, but discovered the story of the virus on the linux servers, so I posted it immediately and rearranged the others.
[20:21:21] <LaminatorX> You know, don't ever push yourself into burnout. I'd much rather the stories slow down for a while then have it pull more from you than you have to give.
[20:21:45] <janrinok> I've spent the day sleepwalking - but at least I've managed to look after my SO.
[20:22:41] <janrinok> I'm OK I think this evening. I just got a fair amount of negative feedback (some justifiable!) and got fed up with it.
[20:23:39] <LaminatorX> When people gripe about postings, I think they're imagining that we've got scads and scads to choose from and pick whatever tickles our fancy.
[20:24:16] <janrinok> I try to point out that the best solution would be for them to make a submission - they tend to go a bit quieter at that point.

[20:25:00] <janrinok> Is the small size of the sub queue something we want to keep quiet, or can we go public with it?
[20:26:02] <LaminatorX> I've sung out on IRC when we've dipped a little low a couple of times.
[20:27:17] <janrinok> Ok, but I only quote it when I feel a good point can be made. It seems like telling potential competitors that we are struggling from time to time.
[20:28:05] <LaminatorX> Right. While it's not a secret, we also don't want to undermine confidence in the site unecessarily.
[20:29:28] <janrinok> I've done a bit of work on the wiki but I think mrcoolbp will have updated you on that. He did ask me to suggest that you put a link in the FAQ to the submissions guidelines page.
