[14:07:03] <TheMightyBuzzard> well i got a whole lot further into the cpan modules but now it's croaking on DBD::MySQL. sigh.
[14:09:39] <TheMightyBuzzard> oh, that'd be why. i don't have mysql installed yet.
[14:10:28] * TheMightyBuzzard debates the merits of going with mysql-cluster vs mariadb vs mysql for the dev vm
[14:12:48] <TheMightyBuzzard> well, mysql-cluster is in the gentoo repo and i don't see any particular need to tie us to a specific version.
[14:34:32] <TheMightyBuzzard> bleh. can't get mysql-cluster installed in gentoo's package management cause of fucked up dependencies
[18:11:02] -!- cortex [cortex!~cortex@k2241jepm9doh5wy9.cg.shawcable.net] has joined #dev
[22:09:02] <Kuro> I've had the issue a couple times where something wouldnt work during isntall and realized that id help to have MySQL installed /facepalm
[22:19:04] <TheMightyBuzzard> yeah, skipping cluster anyway on the grounds that it eats ram far too greedily for a vm that we want to be able to run on less than beefy hardware.
